Every edible product we make is listed here by ingredient, straight from the labels: what each one is, why it is there, and which products contain it. There are no gums, dyes, preservatives, or flavor extracts anywhere in the line, and soaps are not food.

What is in Yaow Seamoss products?

Organic Purple African sea moss and purified water, plus real fruit purée in the flavored gels and drinks (mango, passion fruit, strawberry, blackberry, lime) and a little agave in the lime flavor. One 24-bottle strawberry case label also lists sugar, citric acid, and vitamin C.

Full Spectrum Seamoss

Organic Purple African sea moss, wildcrafted off the East African coast, dried without bleaching, and lab-tested for cleanliness, heavy metals, and batch consistency. It is the base of every edible product we make; how it is tested is on how we test.

Purified Water

The water the moss is blended with to become gel. Nothing else is added to unflavored gel.

Mango purée

Real mango, puréed. It is the sweetness in Mango Passion; there is no syrup or added sugar in the gels.

Passion fruit purée

Lime purée

Real lime, the sharp edge of Lim’n on de Beach.

Agave

Frequently asked questions

Do the gels contain added sugar?

No. Flavored gels are sweetened only by fruit purée; Lim’n on de Beach adds a little agave. The one exception in the whole line is the 24-bottle Strawberry case, whose label lists sugar.

Are there preservatives?

No. That is why gel is a fridge food with a three-to-four-week life and why everything is made after you order. See how long sea moss gel lasts.

Is the sea moss itself tested?

Yes, at multiple stages, for cleanliness, heavy metals, and batch consistency. The details and the claims we refuse to make are on how we test our sea moss.

What about allergens?

The labels list only sea moss, water, fruit, and (in one case) agave, sugar, citric acid, and vitamin C. If you have a fruit allergy, the ingredient line on each product page is the whole label.
